| 0.1 | [NEEDS AFS INPUT: policy owner] | [NEEDS AFS INPUT] | Source examination-center policy formally retired for Al Fajer Private School (KG1 – Grade 6, American curriculum); replaced by this status document |
1.0 Status
1.1 Al Fajer Private School teaches KG1 – Grade 6 only. The school does not enter students for any external qualifications and does not operate as an examination center for any awarding body.
1.2 The source school's Examinations Policy governed the administration of an external examination center — entries, fees, proctoring, exam rooms, results, appeals to awarding bodies, and related qualification machinery. None of that content applies to a KG1 – Grade 6 school with no external qualification entries. The policy is therefore formally retired and is not carried forward into the AFS policy set.
1.3 [NEEDS AFS INPUT: formal adoption of this retirement — school leadership should confirm and record the decision to retire the source Examinations Policy]
2.0 What Governs Assessment at AFS
2.1 All assessment at Al Fajer Private School is internal and is governed by the Assessment, Feedback & Reporting Policy (AFS-POL-05). This includes:
- Renaissance STAR 360 assessment windows (Early Literacy, Reading, and Math), which are internationally benchmarked;
- teacher assessments, cycle tests, and Kindergarten observation-based assessment;
- feedback to students and reporting to families three times a year.
2.2 Expectations for honest work in any assessment are set out in the Academic Honesty Policy (AFS-POL-02).
3.0 Future External Assessment
3.1 Should Al Fajer Private School decide in the future to participate in any external assessment or qualification — or to extend its grade range — a new policy covering administration, integrity, accommodations, and communication with families would be required and approved before any student is entered. This retired document must not be revived for that purpose.
